Those Gluttons at the Mall
strolling down the gullet of Muzak
a candle store pollutes the air
with flower over-scent

middle-aged women chattering dahlingk and faabulous
in purple sequin jumpsuits
rolls of fat collected on them like
baggage at the curb
put down plastic on the counter
to buy yet another pair of shoes

kids sucking down fries and
bubbly black juice
addicts
drone at video games
larvae

to butterfly
beer-bellies, sweatpants,
A1 sauce-stained Giants shirts
trying to find that converter at Radio Shack
or a Craftsman something power
those gluttons.
