| I was watching Days of Thunder last night on CBS and they played the first half-hour of the movie without any commercials. But, the second half-hour had 9 minutes of commercials in 3 separate interruptions. Some restaurants serve glasses of soda that are like tv movies: This soda they gave me is in a glass shaped almost like a funnel. The first few gulps hardly seem to affect the level of fluid. Yet towards the end, one pull on the straw sinks the last few inches. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he said We're like cable, free refills. |
