Do what you want
Your task is to study for the calculus exam which you will face in ten hours. But, you don't feel like studying for your calculus exam. You want to have sex with your girlfriend. She wants to have sex with you.
There are times when integrals come close, but a derivative never beats a
good blowjob.

You spent two hours getting sweaty. Your calculus exam will be upon you in eight hours. Calculus is better than a cigarette, a piece of gum, but not a shower and a nap. Your calculus exam will crawl on top of your brain and attach to your attention in six hours.

You sit down with your pencil and your iced tea and your pretzels and your calculus notes. You form the equations, differentiate them, integrate them - solve them. You know the methods, and you speak the language.

Your calculus test is catching up with an old friend. You receive an A.

You dread it but it must be done. You grapple with the equations, but you wish to be grappling with your girlfriend, but Priorities! Your studying is itself a failure. The material is hard; the exam is forensics
identifying your hair at the crime scene. You fail.

You have misunderstood and must punish yourself for your negligence.
You are tired, but remain awake, thirsty, but stoic and will not indulge.

I do not do what I do not want to do. I do what I want to do.

Choose calculus because you love it. Choose your girlfriend because
you love her. Choose to make love to your girlfriend so you can make
love to your calculus.

Occasionally,
when you think you must do something you do not want to do,
want to do it, and then do it wanting to.
